Welcome
Welcome
to Parkview. As the name suggests, this tree farm has
a park-like atmosphere with numerous trees (most of
which were planted) dotted throughout its native and
improved pastures spread over 40 hectares.
Parkview
is committed to Farm Forestry, Landcare and Conservation
of Native Flora and Fauna and functions as a demonstration
for landholders and other interested people of what
can be achieved by growing trees.
You can see at Parkview how the integration of the growing
of trees is beneficial to the whole of the farm system.
Parkview
has planned and staged its Management Objectives with
the establishment of wood lots, animal shelters and
Landcare.
There are 25 hectares of Agro-Forestry and wood lots,
20 hectares of hardwoods, and 5 hectares being the 1st
Joint Venture with State Forests in NSW with 3 hectares
of softwood and Christmas trees.
This
mixed species Farm Forestry development offers all visitors
the opportunity to learn about timber production on
private land.
